APRIL 28 2003

April 28th 2003

This was the day that the doctor came into my hospital room that i had sat in for 5 and a half long weeks ,and announced that "Today was a good day to have some babies"

This was the day that i had waited for for my whole life ! this is what i had been put on this earth to do ... i was going to be a mom a real mom not a stand in mom like i had very blessed to do and gladly been for so many other children and teens all those years . when i finally got to see them 3 days later it was the best day ever ,better then the day i got to meet them in the sonogram room,and big C's knees went week. i knew that all our prayers and hard work had been well worth it .I always said i wanted 2,4,or 6 .hubby said he always wanted 1.

God said here, you have waited 8 long years so have a two for one.There is not a day that goes by that i don't thank Him for these great, loving ,wild, funny, little men He put into my life.They make me cry and laugh all the time I cant tell you how great it is to be told "you are the best momma i have ",and know that they mean it and would not change that for the world -at least till they are 13-little C asked me if i was going to cry at this birthday too (like i do every year ) big C said yep honey she will and she will cry at every other one too,and as i sit here and type this i am balling my eyes out. It shocks me how yesterday they were both a bit over 4 pounds and preemie diapers were too big,how i could carry them both in my arms at the same time.how i loved having them in my bed every night and there was so much room for all four of us and now when they come into our bed in the middle of the night i have to leave because there is no more room for me.Or when those little babies that are no longer a bit over four pounds fall out of their beds ,i have to have daddy pick up them up for me because they are now too heavy for me to pick up much less carry both in my arms at the same time .

newspaper

well we made it in the newspaper - no not the police blotter - not yet-
little C who is on the top left (you will have to zoom in )made the paper for their school being involved every year with the saint Jude's children's hospital . and why yes that is the officer who gave him his tickets in the picture with her husband and child - he saw the paper and said look theres my police friend - he has such a good outlook on life -she gives him two tickets and he still calls her his friend . no you don't see any pictures of J he was busy at McDonald's

spring fever

OFFER UP A PRAYER

AFTER YOU READ THIS PLEASE TAKE TIME TO OFFER UP A PRAYER OF THANKS FOR MY DEAR FRIEND JULIE .

I GOT A CALL FROM HER TODAY TELLING ME HOW SHE ALMOST LOST THE BRAND NEW HOUSE THAT THEY HAVE JUST MOVED INTO AFTER BUILDING IT THEMSELVES FOR THE PAST YEAR .

JULIE,HUSBAND AND 6 OF THE 7 CHILDREN WERE STANDING ON THE BACK PORCH ENJOYING THE VIEW OF THEIR 11 ACRES WHEN ONE OF THE BOYS SAID WOW SOMETHING IS ON FIRE .SURE ENOUGH IT WAS THEIR NEIGHBORS PASTURE BEHIND THEM .THEY LIVE IN AN AREA WITH VERY STRONG WINDS SO IT WAS MOVING FAST .HER HUBBY AND HER 9 YEAR OLD DASHED OFF TO TRY TO STOP IT WHILE SHE CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ,AND CHASED AFTER THEIR HORSES .THE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND HAD TO CUT HER FENCE TO GET TO THE FIRE.SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE AND WHAT FEW NEIGHBORS THEY HAD STOPPED TO HELP .SORRY I CANT REMEMBER HOW LONG IT TOOK BUT WHEN IT WAS ALL SAID AND DONE THEY STOPPED THE FIRE JUST A TINY BIT FROM HER FENCE LINE .IT WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HER BARN AND BACK YARD THEN IF NOT STOPPED THERE THE HOUSE . THE FIREMEN TOLD HER THAT IT WAS A NEIGHBOR ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ONE BEHIND HER USING A CHAINSAW THAT CAUGHT FIRE . OH AND SHE WAS LUCKY THAT THIS HAPPEN ON THE WEEKEND BECAUSE ALL THE VOLUNTEER FIREMEN ARE AT WORK DURING THE WEEK .

SO AS SHE COLLAPSES INTO BED TONIGHT HER DAY ENDS WITH A HUSBAND WITH SINGED HAIR ,SAFE HORSES, HOUSE AND CHILDREN

AND KNOWING THAT SHE IS TRULY TRULY BLESSED

...

AND A 9 YEAR OLD WHO IS SOOOOOO PUMPED !
