We have only been to see the boys other set of great grandparents at
their house once since having them and the rest of the time we see them at Christmas .yes i know we are poop! we were determined to go this weekend because of that. i hate showing up for Christmas once a year,but with everyday life and junk we have not gone we keep saying we will go but then even with all the best of intentions we don't.
this weekend we got off our butt and went . it was alot of fun we took the puppy and he traveled real well the boys brought toys and books and played in the back yard and even pulled a weed or two for grandma .we got home in time to chill out watching a cartoon before bed and got in bed at our regular time .you would think that after this great day of catching up and remembering ,and the boys getting to spend time knowing their GGparents (by the by the boys were awesome!)that i would feel good .noooo i feel like an even bigger pile for not going sooner .
so we have made a new years resolution to make sure that we DO go more often .i did not know my great grandparents .nor was i as close to my grandparents as the boys are .so WE/I WILL DO BETTER .big C talks often about how much fun he had spending the summer with them growing up and i would like the boys to have a memory of their GGparents to tell their kids too
